St Mary’s Basilica is one of the largest brick churches in the world and one of the most important monuments in Gdansk. The building has towered over the city since the 14th century and impresses with both its monumental architecture and rich interior.
Inside the basilica you can see the famous 15th-century astronomical clock, which not only tells the time but also displays the phases of the moon and the arrangement of the planets. The church is also home to an impressive pulpit and numerous chapels with unique decoration.
One of the most exciting experiences is climbing the tower of the basilica. After climbing several hundred stairs, you can enjoy one of the best views of Gdańsk and the Bay of Gdańsk.
